TRACEY RIGNEY

Tracey is an award-winning filmmaker and playwright, and a proud Wotjobaluk and Ngarrindjeri woman. Drawing inspiration from her people and culture, Tracey is passionate about empowering local communities to access, celebrate, and engage with Australia’s screen industry.

Her most recent work includes the feature film We Are Still Here, which opened the 2022 Sydney Film Festival and had its international premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Tracey’s impressive body of work also includes Elders, Endangered, Abalone, and Man Real.

With extensive experience across platforms, Tracey has directed Stephen Oliver’s web series A Chance Affair and contributed as a writer for the TV series The Warriors. Her dedication to storytelling and championing diverse voices continues to inspire and resonate on both local and global stages.

DESIREE CROSS

Desiree is a Wimmera-born-and-raised multidisciplinary artist and storyteller, passionate about using technology to engage audiences, enhance learning, and inspire social change in the region.

With expertise in animation, illustration, multimedia design, and augmented reality, she brings exciting possibilities to both our slate content and its marketing and promotion. Desiree is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of creative storytelling through digital innovation, exploring interactive media, extended reality, and immersive experiences.

Desiree earned her first screen credit on the SBS production Endangered.

JOEL BOYD

A proud Wimmera resident, Joel brings over 15 years of experience in project and financial management, with a focus on community capacity building, First Nations partnerships, and environmental management in the Victorian public sector. His meticulous attention to detail and strategic approach have delivered initiatives that foster connections, promote sustainability, and empower local communities.

As the backbone of Pink Lake Creative, Joel plays a vital role in driving the company’s vision to grow into a sustainable Australian screen business. His leadership and expertise are instrumental in building a strong foundation for the company, ensuring it thrives in a competitive industry while staying true to its values and mission.
